L-R: The watch face and bezel, the watch from the side.
L-R: The watch with flash & without flash.
I absolutely love the watch and have worn it nearly everyday. I originally wanted one of the watches that were completely rose gold, but when I went to pick it out at the window to try on, I immediately got drawn to this gem of a watch!
It's different to the typical rose gold watch that most people have and I haven't really seen many with this kind of watch - not where I live anyway! Still unsure after trying it on, I bit the bullet anyway and chose this. I was really worried that because it had so much going on, it wouldn't go with many of my outfits. However, I've worn it with nearly every outfit I have and it's rarely seen off my wrist! That is, unless I forget to put it on - but it's practically part of my daily routine now, along with shoes, perfume, coat and keys.
The watch is so versatile and just on that fine line between casual and glitzy. Even though the bezel is covered in crystals, it doesn't look tacky at all and in fact is quite sophisticated and really oozes understated glamour. The crystal bezel allows it to be worn at night without looking too casual, and the warm rose-gold mixed with the brown tortoiseshell makes it easy to be worn casually. Despite it's crystal bezel, it doesn't scream 'look at me' but if you do look at it, you're likely to do a double-take because it is rather nice.
Another merit of the watch which I never considered when buying it and can only really appreciate six months on is the fact that because it's a higher-end watch, the crystals do not fall out. They really stay put - I am the clumsiest person, constantly bashing my hand against surfaces by accident and so on, yet none of the crystals have shown any signs of drop-out. The watch is in extremely good condition too, considering I wear it everyday.
All-in-all, I love my watch and would definitely recommend it to everyone. I've seen Michael Kors' other creations too and he certainly never disappoints! So I'd just recommend Michael Kors to everyone, let alone the watch. The watch retails at £239 and you can get it pretty much anywhere, but here's a link on asos for those of you who'd like to get more info.
I've also heard that Fossil are the people who manufacture the Michael Kors watches, and have seen on their website that they have very similar designs up for a fraction of the price. They also manufacture watch lines for Burberry, DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Armani and quite a few others too!
Oh my goodness, I never thought I'd have so much to say about a watch!
What do you think of Michael Kors watches?
Do you like watches, or do you think there isn't much of a need for them since we all have phones?
Thanks for reading!
Seriously though, thanks for making it this far into this loooong post <3
